SODARU RAHRASI, the evening prayer is recited soon after sunset. The title Sodaru is taken from the first word of the first hymn of the text. Rehrasi variously means prayer, supplication, usage and greetings. The order begins with nine sabads which also stand together in the Guru Granth Sahib immediately after the Japu. They are followed by three compositions by Guru Gobind Singh –Benti Chaupai and a Svaiyya and a Sloka, the first five and last stanza of the Anandu and lastly by Mundavani. Guru Nanak Dev narrates the scene at the door of the Lord in the main title- hym of Sodar where all the gods ,sages and saints are standing and singing the praises of God Almighty..
