Sikhs off the Track
We all feel we are Sikhs since we are born into Sikh families, tying turbans and keeping uncut beards. Some of us undergo Baptism - "Amrit Chakkna" and feel that we are Gursikhs as we wear the Five Kakaars.

Sikhism is not only "looking like a Sikh" bit also "living the life of a Sikh". For a Sikh Gurbani is supreme and Rehat Maryada forms the basis of Sikh life. Gurbani has answers to all queries which a person may have.

It is indeed very sad to see Sikhs and even Amritdhari Sikhs sitting infront of the Babas sitting aside the roadside inquiring from them about their future.

What is the use of maintaining a Sikhi Swaroop bestowed by our Guru when we do not have faith in Him and his Gurbani. Do we not realise the irony - if the roadside Baba could change our fortunes, why can they not change their own? Why are they themselves sitting on the roadside?

The Rehatnama mentions that a true Sikh does not believe in such things but in WaheGuru and Gurbani.
