Lawan da Pose
All religious ceremonies have deep inner meaning pertaining to them which if followed, lead us to become good human beings. In Sikhism, the Marriage Ceremony is called Anand Karaj during which the ordained Four Sermons (Lavaan) are recited and the couple seeks the blessings of WaheGuru for their married life.

Since the past few years, the Anand Karaj, like all other religious ceremonies, have also become factitious and contrived. Whereas the proper way is for all the guests to accompany the couple to the Gurudwara and bless them, most of the guests are busy eating and gossiping while the couple and some close relatives go to the Gurudwara to get married.

Also during the Anand Karaj ceremony itself, it seems that ensuring proper pose for photographs is more important than the ceremony itself and the teachings of the Guru fall on deaf ears.

Indeed, what an insult to the ceremony and the teachings of our Guru Ji.
