  Kabir Ko Swami Garib Nawaaj

Baba Nanak introduced Sikhi with no discrimination against any human being on any basis i.e. caste, age, sex, religion, name, wealth etc. Sikhism is considered the sole religion on this earth, which behaves with every human being equally. Guru's love and care is not biased, and it is not based on how much wealth or status a particular person enjoys.

Guru Sahibaan gave us the message of equality and humanity. Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji started Khalsa Panth taking five different human beings from five different castes and lifting them to the transcendence of unison with Waheguru Ji. Guru Sahib teaches us through each word to serve the humanity and not treat our fellow brothers and sisters on the basis of any false distinctions propagated by so-called Biparwaadi criterion of wealth or caste. Nobody is rich and none poor when he or she stands in front of Guru Sahib.

But due to lack of awareness about our own faith and its basic concepts and also due to rising affect of capitalistic mentality, some of our fellow brothers and sisters give importance to the appearance, money or social class of a person disobeying the word of Guru. Occasionally we notice in our Gurudwara Sahibs an ongoing nepotism and discrimination when it comes to services or sewa offered to devotees. We encounter instances of hate and contradistinction within our Gurudwara Sahibs. Guru Granth Sahib Says:

Guru Ki golak, Garib Ka Muhn

But some of our brothers and sisters are doing just the opposite. Treating humble and poor souls as untouchables they are committing heinous crime against the will of Waheguru. We were taught by our Guru Sahibaan to serve the poor and 'Wandd Chhakna' or share our food with the needy. But what are we doing? Due to some misconceived ideas we are treating poor and needy people as some kind of filth and abandoning them. This is purely a disseverance of the Guru's word.

Sikhpoint.com invites all Sadh Sangat to come and get us aware about what Sri Guru Granth Sahib and Guru Sahibaan preach. Being the sons and daughters of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji for whom everything was 'Tera Hi Tera' i.e. 'all yours', we should not differentiate among human beings on the basis of false notions of caste or status as well as wealth. Guru has made us all equal. Sewa is never biased. So, be a true Gursikh and a pure human being and love the mankind without any pre-conditions.

WaheGuru ji ka Khalsa WaheGuru ji ki Fateh

this is really not acceptable according to our Dharma and our God WaheGuru...a person is a humanbeing first then....is there any caste or status restriction who can be BhaiJi, Pathi, Kirtania,or Sewadar in GuruGhar so why there is discrimination who can come, eat, pray in GuruGhar....lets try not to do that again and make our Gurughars a great place of peace and love..

dear friends
Well as for my personal thinking, the sikh society of today try to follow the concept of 'GARIB KI GOLAK' to the full extent and no poor is debarred from having 'Guru Ka Langar' anywhere in the world.I have seen few rick shaw wallas having langar at darbar sahib everyday, and no body is stopping them. There might be some action taken here and therre on disciplinary grounds but that is bare minimum

This is really a good picture. Becuase we do face this situation everywhere that to from amritdharis.

One request: could you please check the gurbani tuk which is used here.

I think it is like "Garib da Muh, Guru ki golak jaan".

Please correct me if this wrong.

Request to Veer Kesar Singh:

Veer ji, just tell me how many among sikhs does not care about Castism?

Veeer ji, i think so we are in such a bad situation in comparison to other religions, when we see on marriages.
Jat sikh wants Jat only, Ramgharia wants ramgharia only, Khatri wants khatri only ec....

They'll denote every conversation like "in our caste or in your caste".

Who is following the teachings of furu sahib? Just we have to ask this que to ourself once.

"Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji started Khalsa Panth taking five different human beings from five different castes and lifting them to the transcendence of unison with Waheguru Ji." IS PURE TRASH!

Five individuals WITH ABSOLUTE TRUST in the Guruship of Gobind Singh Ji and UNCONDITIONAL FAITH in the teachings of Nanak Ji obeyed the orders of Guru Ji. THERE IS NO QUESTION OF CASTES to begin with.

Your statement is an INSULT, kindly correct the posting.

Our Sewadars should be taught the basic rules of Guru Ka Langar and they should be very polite to persons who visit the Gurdwaras or Langar Hall of the Gurdwara. Also some writings on the walls of the Langar Hall should be displayed where it should be clearly mentioned that all are welcome in the Langar Hall for taking Langar irrespective of their social status, religion and sex etc. provided they take care that no disrespect is shown to the Guru.

Well I appreciate ur idea 'Guru ki Golak Gareeb ka muh' we ppl know that our gurus never make any kind of difference of 'JAT-PAAT'. So why we ppl make any discrimnation against lower cast. As our Guru Guru Arjan Dev Ji starts the process of 'PANGAT' to reduce the difference of 'JAT-PAAT' but we ppl not follow the path of our GURUS. As Gurbani says "chuan warna ko sanjha updesh shri GURU NANAK DA" ofcourse we ppl should follow this.

Bhul chuk maaf!!!
