“The folk & world music scene in S.A. in the 1990’s was a great place to begin a group of this kind but to be a professional act and to achieve more we have had to travel overseas to festivals, venues and where the interest is in our music. We believe we are great ambassadors for Adelaide & Oz whenever we travel, promoting our unique Aussie multicultural lifestyle and love of music and the arts’. states Dya Singh

Dya Singh group cites highlights of recent tours to have been a performance at the Royal Albert Hall in front of Prince Charles and a major concert at The Smithsonion Institute in Washington DC as worthy of mention…The group has also recently appeared at major music festivals in Canada in Vancouver, Winnipeg, Toronto and at Singapore’s Esplanade Theatres. 2006 has seen the group appear at the Woodford Festival, Commonwealth Games Arts Festival, Brisbane Arts Festival, Comm-Bank India Trade Conference and a special UNESCO Concert in Melbourne..

The two concerts will present the exciting blend of sufi-style qawwalis, devotional songs, bhajans, Aussie-raags, folk songs, fusion pieces and improvised music that the group has become famous for. The music as always… is energetic, uplifting, hypnotic and has been described as ‘food for the soul’.
