About Sikhpoint.com Heritage Calendar
Project
The
Sikhpoint.com
Heritage Calendar project was created
to help promote Sikh artists around
the world, to showcase their artwork
not only within the community but
the world community at large.In
many ways, the Heritage Calendar
is a traveling exhibit for established
Sikh artists and also up-and-coming
artists who otherwise may not have
a medium to show their work to so
many at one time. |
 |
While
Sikh art is becoming recognized
as a separate and unique entity
within “Asian Art”,
our hope and vision at Sikhpoint.com
is to help create visibility by
increasing the exposure of these
artists worldwide. The Sikhpoint.com
Heritage Calendar is shipped worldwide,
from North America to Europe, Malaysia
to India, in addition to Australia
and many other countries world wide. |

Since
after the events of September 11, 2001,
the Heritage Calendar took on a new role,
which was to help promote not only artwork
but to explain to the world “who
Sikhs are” and the contributions
Sikhs have made at all levels of society.
Each artist that we’ve selected
over the years has touched base on social,
political and religious elements that
have helped Sikhs distinguish themselves
around the world. Over the years, Sikhpoint.com
has featured internationally renowned
artists such as The Singh Twins, Arpana
Kaur and many others. Each year that passes
the demand for the Heritage Calendar continues
to grow, and with that many new doors
are opening for Sikhs around the world.

THE SIKHPOINT.COM 2007 INTERFAITH CALENDAR
FEATURING THE ARTWORK OF KP SINGH.
|
| |
The
2007 Sikhpoint.com
Heritage Calendar, entitled “Sikhpoint.com
2007 Interfaith Calendar featuring the
artwork of KP Singh,” was by far
the most unique concepts developed to
date. KP Singh, is not only a gifted artist,
but also a philosopher, theologian, writer,
as well as a philanthropist. The 2007
Interfaith Calendar is a unique blend
of beautiful line art drawings, which
encompasses various colors and watermarks.
Each page is dedicated to a major religion,
which includes inspirational messages
from KP Singh, but also specific quotes
from the Sri Guru Granth Sahib (both in
Gurmukhi and English translations). |
|
| In
addition, the 2007 Heritage Calendar also
encompasses brief factual highlights of
each religion. The results of this endeavor
have been widely applauded, and has been
recognized as a milestone for Sikhpoint.com.

architect, artist, historian,
and educator. His art and advocacy have continued
to heighten awareness of the special place of
significant buildings and sites in the visual,
cultural, and spiritual fabric of our communities.

Indiana courthouses, college
campuses and other historic sites are present
at many fundraising events. His artwork is in
many public and private collections in the USA
