Guru Gobind Singh was born in Patna Sahib on 22nd December 1666. He left the city at a very young age and reached Anandpur Sahib on March 1673. By that time Anandpur Sahib had already crossed six years of its establishment. Many of the Sikh scholars were there to preach the basic aspects of Sikhism. Guru ji learned Arabic and Pharsi languages from Munshi Mir Muhammad Kazi who was a teacher in one of the local Muslim school. He even learned Hindi; He attained higher education in Sanskrit from Pandit Kirpa Ram who was one of the Brahmins who came to Guru Tegh Bahadur to get relieved from the autocracies of Mughal ruler Aurengzeb. The tenth master was kept under the regular guidance of Munshi Sahib Chand, who was a Granthi (Sikh priest) in Guru Ghar (House of Guru). Apart from this Guru ji also learned Horse Riding, Archery, and swimming. Within the period of three years Guru ji was well equipped in the in the Social arts as well as warship training. He even studied Guru Granth Sahib. By this time he grew physically strong with sharp facial features.
