MARRIAGE

Guru Gobind Singh married to Bibi Sundari the daughter to Shri Harjas Rai of Lahore in 1684 during the month of April. Guru ji was not able to go to Lahore due to his pre engagements at Anandpur Sahib. There for the marriage was conducted at Guru Ka Lahore near Anandpur sahib. Most of the historians feel that bibi Sundari’s household name was Jito, which was changed to Sundari after marriage.
