The 300th anniversary of the birth of the Khalsa was celebrated in April 1999 around the world.The main celebrations were held at the Gurudwara kesgarh Sahib in the town of Anandpur Sahib, the birthplace of the Khalsa Panth. Pilgrims from around the world converged in India to join the Khalsa tercentenary march to Gurudwara Keshgarh Sahib. The entire town of Anandpur Sahib was painted in bright white for the celebration.
